“Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the Universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good and just and beautiful.” - Plato
"Actors are agents of change. A film, a piece of theater, a piece of music, or a book, can make a difference. It can change the world." - Alan Rickman
DIY MUSIC INSTRUMENT WORKSHOP
In this week-long workshop, children will have the opportunity to explore their creativity and learn about the science behind sound while making their very own musical instruments from scratch. From simple drums and shakers to more complex stringed instruments and wind instruments, there will be something for every musician to enjoy.
Each day we will work on a different instrument, learning about the materials and techniques needed to create it. They will also have the chance to experiment with different sounds and pitches, and even learn how to play simple melodies on their handmade instruments.
At the end of the week, we will come together for a special showcase where children can proudly display their creations for their families and friends. It's sure to be a week full of fun, learning, and a whole lot of music!
Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early to secure your spot. We can't wait to make music with you!
