WELCOME TO FORTE'S FUTURE STARS LACROSSE CAMP!

BVSR is proud to be partnering with Sam Forte for a second season of Forte's Future Stars Lacrosse Camp! This fun and educational camp seeks to help young lacrosse players elevate their game to the next level.

Sam's philosophy for this camp is a very straightforward and effective approach in supporting young athletes in focusing on the proper lacrosse skills and habits in order to become the best lacrosse players they can be. The camp will be filled with lots of stick and skill work, as well as drills to help our summer athletes better understand the game of lacrosse. Sam believes having sound fundamentals with your stick is crucial. He will be sending each player home with a "wall ball" routine should they want to keep practicing at home. There will be games and team building activities to ensure everyone is having fun!

Sam has played lacrosse since the age of 8 and played community lacrosse from U9-U15.  He also played for the Freedom Lacrosse Club from 7th grade to his Senior year of high school.  Sam was a 4-year starter at Kennett High School and assisted in the Cinderella ride that Kennett lacrosse took to the state championship in 2021. He committed to Saint Joseph's University in the fall of his High School Junior year, and is recently finished his third collegiate year playing for SJU.  This year, Sam will be joined by SJU teammates Jack McGory and Colin Zyck.  These collegiate players will bring a Division I level of lacrosse experience to improve each player's skills and understanding of the game. Previous lacrosse experience is recommended, however, this camp is for anyone who loves lacrosse!

The mission of BVSR and its programs is to provide a fun, safe, and positive environment devoted to promoting educational, recreational and competitive sports for athletes in Southern Chester County. We seek to develop each player to the best of their ability and promote a spirit of sportsmanship and community with players, coaches, and parents/guardians.

MEET SAM FORTE

Hello! My name is Sam Forte and I am beyond excited to run a lacrosse camp this summer and give back to the lacrosse community that has given me so much! I have lived in Kennett my entire life and played lacrosse for more than half of it. I played in community lacrosse as a kid and moved up the ranks until I graduated and finished my senior year playing at Kennett High school. I was also a member of the Freedom lacrosse team and will be helping out with coaching for them this summer too! I just finished my third year playing lacrosse for Saint Joseph's university and am coming home with an elevated level of lacrosse knowledge that I am yearning to teach young players from all over the Brandywine Valley and Chester County area!
